Best Dry Cleaners in Indy East Helps Restore History Along With Clothes
September 9, 2010
You can always find Classic Cleaners in the forefront when it comes to community participation. And, when it comes to re-enacting historical events, you can always find Classic Cleaners partner Steve Arnold and his family at the forefront. No wonder then, that the preferred dry cleaning and laundry services provider chosen by the Museum of 20th Century Warfare is Classic Cleaners. Also no wonder that Classic Cleaners has arranged to clean all uniforms used for displays at the Museum at no charge.
The Museum of 20th Century Warfare at Fort Harrison State Park is one of Indianapolis’ newest not for profit organizations, and it serves two important missions:
- honoring all Veterans from all wars – past, present, and future.
- teaching about the technology, artifacts, uniforms, and soldiers of the 20th century
“We strive to ensure that our past defenders of Freedom are never forgotten,” explains the Museum’s website. Open Wednesday through Sunday year round, the Museum houses exhibits relating to World Wars I and II, the Korean and Vietnam wars, and aviation. Visitors can view a model of the USS Indianapolis as well.
In addition to offering permanent and rotating exhibits, the M20CW runs all the re-enactments for the Fort Harrison State park. (Watch for the WWII public battle planned for October 2.) When the battle is over, you may be sure there will be plenty of uniforms needing the expert care of Classic Cleaners professionals!
Donating its services by cleaning American flags and M20CW uniforms at no charge is just one of the many ways in which Classic Cleaners helps care for and restore history along with caring for your clothes!

Classic Cleaners – On the Button from McCordsville to Noblesville
August 23, 2010
Nowadays, it seems, we’re as likely to be clicking on buttons on a computer screen as we are to be using buttons to fasten our clothing. At Classic Cleaners, we make sure our customers can use buttons both ways.
Used as fasteners on clothing, buttons can pose special challenges as we dry clean and launder your clothes. If one of your garments has delicate buttons (studs, beaded buttons, rhinestones, and the like), our Classic Cleaners seamstress Ohi Suhri may actually remove the buttons and then reattach them once dry cleaning is complete.
And, of course, there’s the special Classic Cleaners’ button guarantee. In case there are any broken or missing buttons on your laundered shirts, we sew on new ones prior to returning the finished garments.
When it comes to buttons in the computer age, Classic Cleaners is very “well-clicked”, as our many blog
readers can attest. A “button”, of course, is a shape on your computer screen which you click with your mouse, usually to go to another page on the website.
Remember the children’s game “Button, Button”? Kids would sit in a circle, passing a hidden button to each other while the child who was “It” chanted “Button, button, who’s got the button?”
Well, now that you’re grown up, you no longer need to guess where the buttons are. Whether on our website or on your clothes, Classic Cleaners makes sure you have all the right buttons handy!
