Leaving To-Do Lists in the Bag for Classic Cleaners

March 2, 2011

“How do I do all that I do?” asks Clean House’s Nieci Nash?  “You know it’s not by myself.”  Classic Cleaners professionals can’t do their great job without help, either, and some of that help needs to come from you, our customer and garment owner.

Classic Cleaners’ 24-hour drop-off is convenient, no doubt.  So is our home pickup and delivery service. Our technicians stand ready to serve, only….you’ve got to leave us “love letters in the bag”!  While we love to watch forensic scientists solve mystery crime, our main goal in clothing care is the same as yours – get rid of stains, loose threads, broken buttons – anything that would keep you from looking your absolute best!

The key to helping us do all we can do – the all-important to-do list you leave in your Classic Cleaners bag. For each garment, we would like to know…

  • Where is the spot (left jacket lapel, near the right front skirt hem…)
  • What do you remember about how that spot came to be?  When?
  • Did you try to get the stain off yourself? How?
  • Are there loose threads or buttons you want fixed?  Where?
  • Is there a lining that pulls and seems out of shape?
  • How much starch would you like in your shirts?
  • Would you like only the collar and cuffs starched or the entire blouse or shirt?

Remember, the more we know, the sooner we can bring the “culprits” to justice and return your garments beautifully finished and ready to wear!  So, please, we love getting “love letters in the bag”!

Surveying the Classic Cleaners Survey

February 24, 2011

The slang expression “Don’t break your arm patting yourself on the back” refers to people who praise themselves too highly. Yet, according to many psychologists, it’s OK to pat yourself on the back when you’ve accomplished something special, pointing out that self-congratulation can be a healthy exercise in raising self esteem.

With their new and improved website finally up and running, the professionals at Classic Cleaners have time to reflect on the results of the customer survey results from last fall, and on the wonderful boost to self- esteem that customer feedback provided.

(Dr. Michael R. Edelstein suggests self-esteem can be harmful when it causes people to have difficulty admitting their behavior is unhealthy or unwise.  Edelstein suggests that it would be healthier for us to evaluate our actions without drawing either positive or negative conclusions about ourselves.)

In the case of the Classic Cleaners survey, it was not intended for “arm-breaking” at all, but to accomplish three things:

  1. Help Classic Cleaners owners know more about the demographics of its customer
base – where they are located, what age groups they fall into, and how long they have
    been customers.
  2. Remind customers of the “Classic Rewards” program.
  3. Find out what concerns customers might have with the appearance and cleanliness of the stores, the friendlessness and patience of the front desk representatives, and with the timeliness and quality of order completion.Three very important aspects of the Classic Cleaners business earned almost across-the-board rave reviews:1.  convenience

    2.  friendliness

    3.  quality

No surprise to Classic Cleaners – customers are looking for good value at the lowest possible cost.  In fact, price was the only “negative” recorded by any of the survey respondents! Classic Cleaners’ response: That’s exactly the reason we offer the Classic Rewards program and all the limited time offers – to help you save money while taking advantage of the extra quality Classic Cleaners provides.

At Classic Cleaners, WE”RE looking for value as well.  And what we value is – our customers!

Turning a Proud Face on Men’s and Women’s Shirts at Classic Cleaners

February 19, 2011

“People calling themselves ‘ironists’ get a thrill from taking their ironing board, unplugged iron, and some of

Extreme Ironist

their wrinkly clothes to some extreme places and photograph themselves doing it. Such places include extreme altitude, underwater, hanging from cliffs, and on top of vehicles,” relates sportzfun.com.

Most of our customers would prefer to avoid ironing even in the safety of their own home, much less hanging from a cliff or perched atop a vehicle. They much prefer to leave the ironing to the expert “ironists” at Classic Cleaners!

And nowhere is the Classic Cleaners expertise in ironing more apparent – and more appreciated – than when it comes to men’s and women’s shirts. Truth be told, our “ironists” do have expert help from the latest technology, including our Unipress machine for shirts.

Typical “Pet Peeve C’s ” that simply don’t happen with Classic Cleaners-style shirt processing:

  • Clamp marks on shirts (A Classic Cleaners-processed shirt can be worn tucked in – or out -  with confidence)
  • Crinkled facing on collar (A Classic Cleaners-processed shirt can be worn open-necked with confidence)
  • Cracked buttons  (Classic Cleaners replaces cracked buttons and repairs loose ones)

Sorry, we don’t iron underwater or in the alps, but we certainly do turn a proud face on men’s and women’s shirts at Classic Cleaners!

Quality:
No matter how innovative the microwave bowl, the way to eaters’ hearts is through their stomachs – the popcorn must be delicious to keep the clients loyal.  At Classic Cleaners we know all about the quality our customers expect, and we deliver clothes as close to new as possible.

Our equipment represents th very latest in dry cleaning and laundering technology Our Unipress shirt machine, for example yields the kind of results that cannot be duplicated by most competitors.

The 2011 trend towards simplicity and speed? At Classic Cleaners we’ve been “on it” before it was a trend! Most important, though, once you’ve finished ooh-ing and ah-ing over the technology, are the beautifully finished clothes, ready to make you proud!
