The Geist area of Indianapolis is quite interesting. Often you will hear people say, “I live in Geist,” even though it’s not a real city. According to Wikipedia,

Geist is an area in northeastern Indianapolis, Indiana (in Lawrence Township) and southeastern Hamilton County. It is named for Geist Reservoir.

The beautiful Geist Reservoir! It really is quite big and is full of boats in the warm months. It’s what draws the entire Geist community together.

You may have heard about Classic Cleaners’ ultra-convenient locations offering FREE 24-hour drop-off and pick-up of dry cleaning and been curious: What does the inside of one of those mysterious lockers look like?

Here we reveal the interior.

This is no ordinary locker! It’s quite tall, actually, with enough room for the longest of garments. It’s also wide enough to hold quite a bit (of course, if you need to pick up more than it can hold, we will provide more than one locker!).

Certain Classic Cleaners locations have on display a box that shows you how to use the locker. It’s rather cute, don’t you think?

Here we also present the instruction sheet for the mini test locker, as well as the instruction sheet for the locker itself.

Our 24-hour dry cleaning drop-off and pick-up service is most convenient–and it’s FREE (as I said above). If, however, that’s not quite convenient enough, you don’t even have to leave your house! Classic Cleaners’ FREE home delivery route goes to the Northside of Indy, Carmel, Fishers, Westfield, Noblesville, Zionsville and other northern Indy suburbs. How does it work? There is a special entrance to these Classic Cleaners stores that is always open. Inside is a chute into which you can drop your personal Classic Cleaners bag at any time. Also, there are lockers lined up. We post on the bulletin board which locker contains your finished cleaning, and you have your own personal code to open it.

To use this service, you can visit any Classic Cleaners location, and we’ll make one or more personalized garment bags for you right on the spot.

Once our customers see the incredible results we offer, they are sure to come back to us when the need arises. Sometimes the same gown is worn by several brides, as in this beautiful story, and sometimes the customer trust us with more than one dress over time, as in the following example of our work.

This dress was the fourth dress entrusted to us by the mother of four daughters. The photo at the right shows the dress after cleaning but before preservation and packing in an archival-quality box.

The composite photo shows areas of the dress after cleaning (top) and before cleaning (bottom). As you can see, this dress needed a thorough (but gentle) cleaning to return to its original beauty. The gown had yellowed quite a bit since it was last worn (click on the photo for a larger image).

Classic Cleaners partner and wedding gown cleaning and preservation specialist Leon Neal has a very good sense of humor. As a fun way to advertise that Classic Cleaners offers the best wedding gown cleaning service in Indianapolis, he used a discarded wedding gown as a table cloth at his church’s Christmas table decorating party.

First, Leon gave the dress a thorough cleaning, using Classic Cleaners’ special detergents and gentle washing method. Then the women of the church created this whimsical centerpiece-plus-table cloth. Spectacular!

The message, of course, was that Classic Cleaners can almost always get out the toughest stains, even in a beautiful wedding dress. People may not ordinarily use wedding gowns as table cloths, but gowns do get stained during the ceremony (from dragging on the ground) and during the reception (champagne and food).

After you have worn your beautiful gown, take it to Classic Cleaners and have it cleaned and preserved–it will continue to look great for many, many years to come!
