Who uses lockers at Classic Cleaners?

June 7, 2011

Most of our 17 Indianapolis-area stores provide a convenience-adding, fee-free locker system that gives customers the ability to drop off and pick up orders 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The service is super secure and is available even when our stores aren’t staffed, so it’s no surprise that so many customers love our lockers.

Here’s an idea of some customers who find the lockers to be quite valuable:

Tireless professionals. These customers typically arrive at work early and leave late. Their free time is virtually non-existent and there’s little chance they’re near a store during normal hours of operation. Exhausted, they stop by their designated, PIN-secured locker at all hours of the night for fresh clothes.

Vampires. Luckily, cloaks in need of a cleaning can be dropped off and retrieved under the shelter of darkness. These customers typically prefer to do business at night, when there are fewer obstacles and discretion is a requirement.

Travelers. Whether traveling for business or leisure, these customers are always on-the-go. On the way to or from the airport, orders in need of clean can be dropped off and freshly cleaned orders can be picked up – all at the customers’ convenience.

Second shift-ers. Working through the night and sleeping through the day sometimes makes it difficult to run errands and complete chores. But unusual work schedules shouldn’t prevent you from being dressed to impress.

Along With Orville Redenbacher, Classic Cleaners Gets Complex to Simplify Customers’ Lives

February 17, 2011

“Consumers aren’t just time-pressed – we’re downright lazy,” according to USA Today. As one sign of the times, USA Today points to ConAgra, maker of Orville Redenbacher Popcorn.  Next month, the company will roll out the PopUp Bowl, microwave popcorn that pops into a convenient one-serving bowl.

Convenience – from popcorn to dry cleaning at Classic Cleaners!

Classic Cleaners is several jumps ahead of the popcorn maker when it comes to using the latest and most complex technology to make customers’ lives simple.

Time-saving:
Our innovative heat seal system has been in place for more than a year.  Heat seals guarantee we know exactly – every time – which garments belong to which customers. Zero time is wasted collecting garments – our order and bagging system is all computerized.

Convenience:
Popcorn buyers need to take the product off a grocery store shelf.  Classic Cleaners’ customers, by contrast, can choose our FREE pickup and delivery service!

Quality:
No matter how innovative the microwave bowl, the way to eaters’ hearts is through their stomachs – the popcorn must be delicious to keep the clients loyal.  At Classic Cleaners we know all about the quality our customers expect, and we deliver clothes as close to new as possible.

Our equipment represents th very latest in dry cleaning and laundering technology Our Unipress shirt machine, for example yields the kind of results that cannot be duplicated by most competitors.

The 2011 trend towards simplicity and speed? At Classic Cleaners we’ve been “on it” before it was a trend! Most important, though, once you’ve finished ooh-ing and ah-ing over the technology, are the beautifully finished clothes, ready to make you proud!

Fast, But Never Furious With Classic Cleaners

February 15, 2011

Providing the highest-quality, VIP-level dry cleaning, laundry, and restoration services has been top priority at Classic Cleaners for twenty five years. We know the top three things customers want:

  • My clothes back
  • On time
  • Ready to wear

That’s why, as your full-service cleaner, we’re dedicated to turning out beautiful results every time.

In today’s busy world, we know that, more than ever before, in addition to these three basic expectations, customers value speed and convenience.

Actually, this is hardly new. In fact, American history is filled with examples of the trend towards speed and convenience, going all the way back to the Pony Express in 1860, the “fast” mail service that carried messages by horseback across the prairies, plains, deserts, and mountains of the Western United States. Then, in 1930, Americans pioneered the drive-through concept that caught on throughout the developed countries of the world..  (Maid-Rite in Springfield, Illinois, is one company claiming to have had the first drive-through window.)

But speed by itself isn’t always satisfying and productive, and many companies learned the hard way the truth in the old saying “Haste makes waste”. “From the transcontinental railroads to the creation of the Web, companies have always had to balance ‘good enough now’ with ‘perfect too late’”, remarks Bob Lewis of Advice Line.

In keeping with our motto “the modern craft of clean”, Classic Cleaners constantly works to combine the latest in technology with decades of specialized professional experience to achieve both quality AND convenience. Classic Cleaners Express Service includes:

  • Express Bag with ID tags holds drop off cleaning
  • Heat seals ensure tracking and speed check-in and order assembly
  • 24-hour drop off boxes in selected locations
  • Lockers for secure 24-hour pickup
  • e-mail notification when order is ready
  • Drive-through service
  • Secured credit card auto-pay

No need to balance “good enough now” and “perfect too late”. With Classic Cleaners Express Service, you can have perfect AND on time!

Classic Cleaners Gals Become Villagers in Carmel

September 18, 2010

Nancy Leonard has managed the Classic Cleaners store in the Village of West Clay in Carmel for
six of her seven years with the company.

Manager Nancy Leonard and CSR Kat Toller at Classic Cleaners in Village of West Clay, Carmel

Firmly ensconced in the Village now, Nancy treats all her customers (90% of whom are Village residents) like family. Remembering her first day at this location, however, Nancy confesses it took her four hours just to find the place!

“Not just streets and houses.  It’s life.  A vibrant, connected, memorable life”, reads the description on the Village of West Clay website. A reviewer on Citysearch calls it “one of the most unique and arguably the best neighborhood in Indiana, if not the Midwest.”  Classic Cleaners Village customers live in apartments, townhouses, and homes of every size. You can see fountains and park areas all around.  The Classic Cleaners store is nestled in the Village proper, among quaint storefronts and professional offices.

Customer service representative Kat Toller and Nancy make a perfect tag team in this cozy and unique Village setting. It’s not unusual for customers to bring in a problem stain saying, “Nancy and Kat, we know you’ll take care of this.” (In fact, while I was interviewing Nancy, a gentleman rushed into the store, tossing a pair of trousers on the counter, saying he was in a big hurry. The customer was obviously confident that Nancy recognized him and would “take care of it”.)

Patrons in less of a rush always admire the beautiful needlepoint tapestry created by Lucille Arnold (wife of Classic Cleaners founder Carl Arnold) that adorns the store’s reception area wall. The store’s 37 lockers are used by no fewer than 235 customers (should there be no space when you drop off clothes, Nancy will see to it that your clothes are delivered to your home.)

Always active in the community, Classic Cleaners donates rails to hang coats in the local school, and cleans the school’s bear mascot costume on a regular basis. Getting involved with the local girl scout troop’s Operation Cookie Drop and Beanie Babies for Iraqi children project, plus sponsoring the ice cream social – all this activity keeps Nancy and Kat on their toes. And, with Fall Festival at the Village coming up soon, these Classic Cleaners gals will be seeing a lot of their West Clay Villager friends!
